I didn't put my prices up after last year's increases but I'm definitely going to do it this year.

Well we are all in the same boat so the ones that are prepaired to lose on the margins will end up working for the postie, we will not go down that road as when something goes up even by a 1p we alter all our costings and we have never in the past had a problem, Derek

Just got an email from RM with the subject "Your Online Business Account codes are changing…"

    Our products are changing
On Monday 2nd April, we are introducing the biggest change to our products for advertisers, publishers and businesses sending general correspondence since they were first introduced and this affects the service codes you use to order them.

    What you might notice
This change means that some of the familiar service codes that you currently use when you create orders in your Online Business Account system will change from 2nd April.

Over the next few weeks leading up to 2nd April, you may notice some additional codes appearing within your Online Business Account. Do not use these new codes until 2nd April as they won’t be activated. Please continue using the service codes that you are using now and are already familiar with.

    Action to take now
At the moment, please continue to process your mail each day using your existing service codes and/or any existing Sales Order templates.

    Next steps
We will be in touch again in the next couple of weeks to explain how the changes will affect the services you use and the orders you process in your Online Business Account.

    Had that email too.

When we come to print out labels on Monday (busiest day) the whole system will have changed and come crashing down. Great fun.

We have switched many of our parcels from Royal Mail as it was too close in price on many items.
We can send upto 10kg for £4 plus vat and its there next day
Whereas Royal Mail standard parcel costs £4.41 and takes around 3-4 days or first class its around £4.85 and there is around 2-3 days so abit of a no brainer on many of our orders.

what courier company are you getting those next day rates for. I recently sent two items special delivery by royal mail and they cost me 5.50 to send each one, so would be interested in cheaper services as long as they are reliable
