Default Order of products in catergories

    Hi

Does anyone know if there is a quicker way of ordering your products instead of using the edit tabs. Doing it this way means you can only order items one place at a time and to be honest it has taken my hours to move some of our products around. I am hoping someone can advise us of a quicker solution to this problem.

If there is no quicker solution, please EKM can you come up with a better system?

    Many thanks

Via Stock control - it is very easy, just put in any number in order, ie 1, 2,3 or 20, 21, etc.

I have always liked the idea of random order. Bit like walking into your local food store only to find the store layout has changed again. Mind you been a while since I have shopped instore...online now

There is a way to cheat a little, click the up or down button then wait a second before clicking it again, kinda like "click" 1 mississippi "click" 2 Mississippi "click" 3 Mississippi, etc

If you have a lot of categories to move about, it could be easier to use the import / export facility
